I AM SO BORING!

A couple of weeks ago, I had a party for a great friend, Yan, from Thailand. He was moving to Calgary for a new job. He told me he was not looking forward to the 4-hour flight. I asked why, and he said, " I am so BORING on the plane". Well, I know Yan. Yan is not BORING. Boring is a person who is not interesting. Not fun. Someone you hate to see at a party. Yan really wanted to say: "I get so BORED on the plane". You see, if you want to talk about the person, you must use "ED" Example. "I am bored.", "I am interested.", "I am excited." If you want to talk about the SITUATION, you must use "ING". "The party was boring", The book was interesting", " Disney World is exciting". Please my peeps (people), DON'T BE BORING!
